Editing in the Cut Room
The Cut Room is the editor in your browser: put clips on a timeline, trim them, add B-roll, titles, a voiceover and music, and export one finished file.

Start a cut
Open the scenes of one of your videos, import a video, or start empty and add clips from the Clips tab. Everything on the main track plays in order; its sound is the sound of the video.
Trim and arrange
- Select a clip and set In and Out at the playhead to trim it.
- Duplicate a clip, or add transitions between clips.
- Choose Fill the frame or Fit (bars) when a clip does not match the video's shape.
The one-click edit
One click cuts pauses, adds punch zooms, writes captions and places B-roll. You can also run each on its own:
- Cut dead air keeps only the stretches with speech (pauses over about 0.4 seconds go). It is free.
- Punch zooms push in 1.2× on every other cut, which keeps talking-head videos moving.
- Auto captions are written from the clips' own speech.
- AI B-roll lays generated shots over the talk. B-roll is silent: the main track's sound keeps playing.
Titles, voice and music
- Add a title at the playhead for names, places and chapter cards.
- Make a voiceover in the Voice Room and drop it at the playhead.
- Add music and turn on Lower under speech, so it dips whenever someone talks.
Export
Voice tracks and music are mixed in the export, while the preview plays the clips' own sound. Export, wait for the render, and download the finished video.
