Your first video in 10 minutes

Autopilot turns an idea, or a script you already have, into a finished video: research, script, voiceover plan, storyboard, pictures and clips. This guide walks through one video from the first box to the download.

Your first video in 10 minutes — Autopilot in Vidnora

Start from an idea or from your script

Open Autopilot and choose New video. Write what the video is about in a sentence or two, or switch to Use my script and paste your own text. A script you paste is kept word for word; Autopilot only plans the shots around it.

Tell it what kind of video this is

  • Fact — researched first, so the script is accurate. Use it for explainers, news and history.
  • Story — characters, dialogue and a plot built from your idea.
  • Tutorial — clear steps that teach one thing well.
  • Auto — Autopilot reads your idea and picks one of the three.

Pick where it will live

Long-form is 3 to 20 minutes in landscape, for YouTube. Shorts are 1 to 3 minutes in vertical, for Shorts and Reels. Add a channel if you have one: its niche, tone and audience are used in every step, so the next video sounds like the last.

Choose the look and the voice

Pick a visual style — every scene of the video is made in it — or describe your own look: lighting, palette, lens and texture. Then choose the narrator and the language of the voiceover.

With Ingredients → Video (the recommended way to make clips) the narrator speaks inside every clip, so picture and voice arrive together. With the other modes the clips keep their own sound and you add a voiceover later in the Voice Room or the Cut Room.

Check the estimate and create

The last screen shows everything that will be used and an estimate in credits. Nothing is final: you can still change the cast before any clip is made. Failed clips are refunded automatically.

Work through the stages

Prefer not to stop at all? Turn on Run every stage by itself: Autopilot confirms the suggested cast for you and goes from story to finished clips.

  1. Story — the research, the story and the full script. Read it; edit anything you want before moving on.
  2. Storyboard — the scene plan: who is in each shot, where it happens and which lines are heard. Confirm the cast and places here.
  3. Images — the still for each scene, when your clip mode starts from pictures.
  4. Video — the clips. Fix a failed scene or regenerate one with an instruction without touching the rest.
  5. Publish — download the finished video and the material for the upload.
